Toronto Star on January 12, the day Katherine Newman was found murdered. Her estranged husband was killed by police the same day, after appearing at a police station, allegedly brandishing a knife. The most recent news
report in the
Hamilton Spectator indicates that police “have yet to formally connect the two deaths...[but] are not seeking any other suspects in the woman’s death.”
The story of Ms. Newman’s death was reported in media outlets across the GTA and southern Ontario, and as far away as Vancouver.
