The Women’s Centre offers a range of services designed to help women find work and obtain legal advice about separation and divorce. Income tax assistance is also available to qualified women.

 

  • Employment Network. Unemployed? Learn resume writing, job searching, interviewing, and networking skills. Five-week workshop series starting January 12, 2012.
    Meets weekly on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to noon.

  • Family Law Legal Clinic. Advice and guidance on family issues around separation/divorce, child/spousal support, and child custody/access. Women only.
    1st Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 PM from January 9 to June 4, 2012.
    No appointment available--first come, first served    . Sign in sheet is posted at 6pm.
    Please arrive early to sign up in order to avoid disappointment.

 

  • Income Tax Assistance. Assistance preparing your taxes. Mondays, 10AM to 1:00PM
    February 27, March 5 and 19, April 2 and 16, 2012
    No appointment available--first come, first served.

 

  • New Start Entrepreneurial Program. Would you like to start your own business? Not sure where to begin? Through the New Start program you can learn from experts in various business fields to receive the mentoring and support you need to help you succeed. Course begins October 3, 2011. Call Centre for information.
