Donations
Financial donations enable us to continue running the valuable programs and workshops we offer. We welcome donations in any amount. Direct donations can be made with cash, cheques and Visa. We are a registered charity, number 134949395 RR 0001 and will receipt donations over
$10.00.
You can also give to the Centre at work by designating your United Way donation to the Women’s Centre.
Wish List
A busy office like ours is always in need of office supplies and other items that help make our visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Please contact us at
905-847-9104 if you can supply an item from our wish list.
- Laptop Computers
- Computer Paper in large quantities
- Flip chart paper
- Office supplies including pens, binders, nametags etc
- Ink Cartridges
- Resource Library Material
- Household paper – Kleenex, toilet paper, paper towels

Membership
Donate and participate!
Join the Women’s Centre and get advance notice of all of our great workshops. Members also receive a 20% discount on workshop admission and use of the Centre’s library.
At just $20 per year, membership at the Centre is a great value. It is also a source of funding for the Centre, so when you join you not only gain benefits for yourself; you help the women who turn to the Centre during difficult times.

Volunteering
Volunteers are essential to the Centre. They are active in every part of the Centre’s operations, from front desk to peer counselling to special events to workshops. With a wide range of skills and abilities, our volunteers bring life and energy to this Centre.
We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities:
- Peer counselling - training is provided
- Fundraising – If you have experience in this area, please contact us. We are always looking for fresh ideas!
- Event planning – We are now looking for volunteers to plan our annual Women of the Year event
- Workshops and seminars – Why not share your knowledge or interests with other women by leading a workshop?
- Front desk and office help

Event Sponsorship
Want a great way to recognize your business? Why not become an event sponsor?
The Women’s Centre hosts a number of special events each year, including the popular Women of the Year event. We have a range of recognition levels available. Contact the Centre to learn more.
If you cannot make a cash donation, consider donating a product or service for use in our annual silent auction, held each year at the Women of the Year ceremony.
Spread the Word
- The more people hear about the Centre, the more we are able to help. Here are some other ways you can give to the Centre, and it will not cost a thing!
- If you know of women who might need help through a difficult situation, tell her about the Centre and all the ways we can help.
- Invite a friend to one of our workshops or events.
- Get a church, civic group or business to “adopt” the Women’s Centre.
- Distribute the Women’s Centre brochure to your workplace, church, doctor, dentist etc.
