Leading Women, Building Communities Award

Member of Provincial Parliament for Oakville, Kevin Flynn, was joined by the Hounourable Madeleine Meilleur, Minister of Community and Social Services and Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs, to award three local community leaders with the Leading Women, Building Communities Award. The recipients were nominated by MPP Flynn for their exceptional community leadership and the positive example they provide to women and girls.

We are thrilled to announce that Executive Director of The Women's Centre, Melvina Walter, was among the winners of this wonderful award. Melvina was presented with her award at a ceremony on August 19, 2008. Congratulations Melvina!
